Port City Java has been waking up communities since 1995. While we started as a small coffeehouse in Wilmington, NC, we have grown to become a favorite of coffee drinkers around the world.
Although we are growing, we take pride in our hands on approach to the art of coffee. Our Head of Roasting, Kim Cruse, samples coffee from around the world to select the best flavor profiles. These green coffee beans are hand roasted in our Wilmington Headquarters five days a week. We use a 60-kilo Ambex roaster for all our conventional coffee, and house a separate Organic facility, including a 15-kilo organic roaster, to process our line of USDA certified organic coffee. Each batch is sampled and critically evaluated to ensure a fresh and flavorful cup with each brew, before being hand packed by our roasting staff.
Our commitment to serving the freshest cup of coffee means we take our fresh roasted beans from our facility to your café in just under two weeks. Our café staff grinds beans as needed throughout the day, brewing your favorite blends and single origins fresh for you.
